One of my favorite restaurants to visit in Orlando, FL is Orchid Thai Restaurant, located in Winter Park, FL.
When people come to Orlando, FL they think of Disney World right away, but there are other great areas to visit while in Central Florida.
Winter Park, FL is one of them. It’s about 30 min drive from Disney World. There is a beautiful downtown Winter Park area with a boat ride, Park Ave, Morse Museum of Art.
Orchid Thai Restaurant is located on Park Ave, Winter Park.
There are a lot of gluten free options on the menu. You just have to ask the waiter. Every dish is decorated with fresh cut orchid, as well as there are orchids in vases on all the tables. The owner even sells them in the restaurant.
One of my favorite dishes is Massaman Curry. You can get it mild, medium, hot or thai hot. Make sure to tell them that you eat gluten free. Their salad peanut dressing tastes so good, that often we buy extra to take home.
If you are not a fan of curries, Pad Thai is great, or Ginger Chicken is really good too. The menu has many vegetarian options as well.
For dessert, I really like Mango sticky rice. Warm rice is coated with sweetened coconut milk and served with fresh mango. Sometimes they even have mangoes from Thailand, when they are in season.
The restaurant is located on the North side of Park Ave. There is seating outside, with a beautiful view of the street.
