Seasons 52 is one of Darden Restaurants. They also own Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Capital Grill. The reason it’s 52 is because certain items on the menu change every week of the year. They have Seasonal items on the menu. Now they are adding Winter menu. This restaurant is also different because each dish is supposed to be under 500 calories. They have a nutritional information for every dish on their website, or the waiter can tell you exactly how many calories are in each dish. They don’t have heavy sauces, and all meals are very well seasoned. It smells so good in there. You can even smell cedar in the parking lot. I’ve had Cedar plank salmon several times. It’s naturally gluten free. It was excellent. They also have great salads.
Here’s a link to their gluten free menu.
Seasons 52 restaurant serves desserts in little shot glasses, all different kinds. but the only choice for gluten free is a fruit cup and canoli. It’s healthy, but gets tiring. It feels sad when they bring that huge tray of all different desserts to show, but the only thing you can pick is a fruit cup. It seems, that it would be so easy to have more gluten free options, since they are all stored separate, so there is no cross contamination. A few times the waiters offered me a mousse option for dessert, but after checking with the kitchen, they weren’t sure it was completely gluten free, and it’s not listed on the gluten free menu.
Overall, it’s a unique restaurant with healthy options. I just wish they would have better variety of gluten free desserts. Also, it would be nice to mark a couple of gluten free items on the seasonal menu side. I’ve never seen any of the specials offered as a gluten free option.
